Lucca was getting set to start work on his newest album when approached by Tasha Danner, a fellow Mouseketeer who saw the 30th anniversary of the show coming up and decided they should team up on a project.

That something is the new holiday album. Lucca talked about Detroit and how its rich history of music and culture has influenced him as a performer. Add in a year pandemic and that conversation is more pronounced right now. Which is why Lucca would love to see more film and entertainment work come back to Michigan. In , after four years on the show, Lucca moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. During this time, he found work appearing in commercials and even starred alongside his then-girlfriend Keri Russell on the short-lived Aaron Spelling-produced drama Malibu Shores.
