How does lickilicky learn heal bell

It's too slow and the loss in bulk due to a defense hindering nature kind of hinders Lickilicky's main niche of being a bulky Pokemon. Tangela itself still isn't all too common and there are better Pokemon to deal with Alomomola. Surprise factor is nice but at least against Alomomola, its not winning anyways against the Support set due to Heal Bell or the SD set due to Substitute. A Choice Band set would actually be a better choice over the Mixed Set imo, but I don't have as much experience with it as the other sets.

Implemented all of the above. I added the Pokemon that Licki beats into Set Comments, because its pretty important what it can defeat, and it would be one of the first things readers see. In addition, all the other spreads have been removed. I personally haven't used the Mixed Set in a while, but when I used it, it seemed set worthy at the very least, though I don't mind if I have to remove it.

Are Explosion and Power Whip the advantages Licki has? Yeah CB Licky's advantages involve Power Whip and Explosion, but its main thing would have to be the combination of bulk and power that make it difficult to deal with. CB Explosion is an absolute monster of a move and leaves a big dent in anything. Someone else can keep up the QCing I guess. Own Tempo would be superior to Oblivious in this situation Hammer Arm could be used over Earthquake to hit Normal-type Pokemon like opposing Lickilicky or Miltank harder, but generally Return will plenty of damage to them and the reliability of Earthquake is preferred to Hammer Arm Even though it does a lot of the damage to the most common Ghost-type Pokemon in Golurk and Haunter, it doesn't do as well against Misdreavus and Drifblim.

Good luck with this! Trying to outspeed an 84 Spe Golurk is speed creeping ie trying to outspeed something that isn't a minimum speed or maximum speed. I'm going to have to change it into Speed EVs in order to outspeed Alomomola and prevent a Speed creep in the analysis. When I get this in the skeleton I'll put it above the Mixed Attacker. Sweet Jesus Neal and Jack and me, absent lovers Lickilicky's attack may not be the best but it still has Swords Dance.

Its amazing bulk allows it to set up multiple Swords Dances, making it work as a bulky set-up sweeper. Earthquake is usable over Power Whip here as it gets past all Steel-types and still hits Rock-types hard albiet a little less hard , but that means Lickiliky gets walled by Alomomola. Physical walls or bulky Pokemon that aren't really hit hard by anything such as Tangela and Vileplume can be annoying.

Tangela takes hits from it all day and can Leech Seed it for quite a bit of recovery, but beware of Fire Blast. The only other thing I'd like to see added is that offensive Gardevoir is a cool Pokemon to use with the support set, it really appreciates the Wish healing and can switch into Fighting-types with ease. Sorry I didn't put in the check until now - I've been really busy.

I'll get this written up soon. This is now written up and ready for the 3rd QC check. This is a good write up, but we're trying to keep the fluff to a minimum and make our analyses as informative as possible.

You a pretty good job at this, but there is just one sentence I feel needs to be taken off due to not providing any extra information: Lickilicky may be some form of weird blob with an over-sized tongue, but Lickilicky is far more useful than its appearance may suggest. So just remove this and your analysis will be fluff free. The last thing is that some things should be added to the Choice Band set.

Mention that Cloud Nine give a huge advantage against weather teams as it can easily take on weather abusers with their Sun or Rain being negated. With its good bulk, Lickilicky can take on unboosted Hydro Pumps and nerfed Solarbeams and begin to deal massive damage with its Choice Band boosted attacks.

In checks and counters, you should mention how the defensive set can get set up on pretty easily by mons such as Smash Carracosta or SubBU Braviary. Kangaskhan, Tauros, Zangoose really appreciate how Lickilicky can lure in Normal-type resistants such as Golem or Regirock and hit them hard with a Power Whip or setting up a sub against missy; this helps the other normal-type sweep.

Also add in AC of the defensive set that if your team doesn't need a cleric or already has one, running Body Slam and Dragon Tail over Heal Bell is ideal giving you "the best of both worlds".

Implemented annoyer's stuff, except for that SubSD lures in Rock-types. Lickilicky barely has any investment in attack and Substitute or Swords Dance gives it away. Yeah I was doing the final QC check for you, but then Annoyer pops in :. Implement what I put on my post before GP looks at this. Along with these moves, Lickilicky has a high HP stat, meaning the Wishes that it passes off can heal most offensive Pokemon almost all the way, and an excellent bulk on both sides, which makes it one of the hardest clerics to wear down in NU.

Despite these perks, its low speed is a bit saddening, and its weakness to Fighting-moves, while not as significant in NU as higher tiers, is still bad because of how common Sawk and Gurdurr are , and it has no resistances in return for this. While Alomomola has a much higher HP and Regenerator, Lickilicky can take on special attackers including Kadabra, Altaria, Gardevoir without Focus Blast, Regice, and more with ease while still taking on physical hits well enough, and it also has Heal Bell.

Similarly, unlike Audino, which has similar support moves, it can hit the foe back with a decently powerful attack move due to a decent Attack stat, and is also overall more bulky. Heal Bell clears status away from the team, which means that not only can it save its teammates from an untimely burn s or paralysises paralyze , but it can also not be worn down by Toxic like other defensive Pokemon nearly as easily. It cures all allies in the same room as user of all status conditions that are considered negative, such as Slowed Down, Nightmare or Constriction, as well as removing move seals even though they aren't considered a status condition by the game.

This move is affected by Taunt and Snatch. Being a sound-based move, it is blocked by Soundproof. Page actions Article Discussion View source History. Please remember to follow the manual of style and code of conduct at all times. Super Contests. Contest Spectaculars.

On the other hand, Seismic Toss is the best offensive move Lickilicky has at its disposal which allows it to deal consistent damage to all opponents, specially to those immune to Toxic. Finally, Heal Bell is what allows Lickilicky to support its team and cure any status ailments.

Pyukumuku: This pokemon is able to take into set-up sweepers and stall them out due to Unaware. Thanks to Lickilicky's immunity to Taunt and access to Wish, it appreciates having Lickilicky as a partner. Clefable: It forms a solid partnership with Tyranitar while being able to check the Fire, Steel and Flying types that pose a threat for Celebi's sweep. Granbull: It's Fairy typing and Intimidate, makes Granbull an ideal partner for Lickilicky who also benefits from Wish passing.

Druddiggon: While it doesn't synergizes defensively with Lickilicky, thanks to its ability to pass Wish, Druddiggon heavily appreciates the support while being able to set up Stealth Rock reliably thanks to Mold Breaker. Lickilicky can run a more offensive set with great coverage moves like Power Whip or Earthquake but it is completely inferior to almost any other relevant offensive Normal type Pokemon. Scrafty, Lucario, Hariyama or pretty much any relevant Fighting type user, will be able to crush Lickilicky.

Guts users like Hariyama, have the added benefit of getting even stronger by being inflicted by status and dent bigger holes on Lickilicky's team.
