Although these types are both very strong by themselves, you wouldn't expect them to work together well, but moves such as Steel Wing prove that the two types are a force to be reckoned with when fused.

Skarmory is a rare Pokemon from the Johto region, and most trainers never get a chance to battle one, but they are incredibly strong. There's no doubt that Skarmory is one of the best non-evolving Pokemon in the franchise.

Spiritomb is exactly what it sounds like, a collection of spirits that sit on top of a rock. Trainers are quickly interested while looking at this swirling Pokemon's design because it's very unique in comparison to some of the more basic generation four Pokemon that were introduced in the Sinnoh region.

It would be great to see Spiritomb get a mega evolution or a new regional variant in the future because it was a powerful creature in generation four, and it will continue to be so in every region moving forward. Turtonator made a debut in the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime when one of the main characters in Ash's school had one as his Pokemon partner. Although Tortonator probably won't return in the future for a major appearance, it would still be great to see Ash catch one because this Dragon-type is one of the best non-evolving Pokemon introduced into the series.

The only exception would be for pokemon which evolve through a stone, which lose the ability to learn new moves via leveling.
